2004-2005 December - April - Beeoff creates the ice-video- installation Canned Time in suite 320 at the ICEHOTEL in Jukkasjärvi, Lapland, Sweden.

2004 September - October - Beeoff presents Tentacle at Villette Numérique in Paris, France.

2004 August - October - Beeoff presents Tentacle at ISEA2004 in Helsinki, Finland.

2004 April - July - Olle Huge represents Beeoff as artist in residence at Eyebeam in New York City.

2004 February - July - The Arkdok2.0 is presented at the Swedish Museum of Architecture in Stockholm.

B-off ?
The Swedish artist collective Beeoff, has been working with video and sound art in real time since 1998. During these years they have explored methods of working with, and presenting, real time audiovisual art in different locations using the internet.
They also started a real time art broadcasting channel, today known as nonTVTVstation.

What is Splintermind?
In September 2000 Beeoff founded Splintermind.com as a roof for the art broadcasting channel and the newly started live music / live video channel randomstudio. (+ a number of other activities)

All these names ?
During 2002 and 2003 the artist group Beeoff started to make projects outside of the the real time art channel. From 2003 the name nonTVTVstation is used for the real time art channel (still hosted by Splintermind.com) and the url Beeoff.se is devoted to the artist group .

The piece ”HEAD” is created and started the new art-format ”real-time-based-art”. ”HEAD” started an idea of showing real-time based art at the same time as it is produced

Mikael Scherdin to receive two scholarships from Swedish Filminstitute for further development of the thoughts and the aesthetics around ”the image in experimental film” /FollowMe:Doll:Matta:Sideaview1 & 2/

1998
In the beginning of the year the project ”Beeoff” is presented for the No.1 Nordic telecom company, TeliaSonera, and their development department S-Lab. - The first real studio is opened in an old ”dental-reception” in the outskirts of Stockholm.

1999
Continuos transmission from the studio starts in March1999. - Beeoff receives funding from The Knowledge Foundation, for further development kks.se (Then the name was B OFF). - Real-time Art distribution to ”permanent” receivers starts to the Nordic Museum during their exhibition ”1000 years of future belief”. The transmissions were maintained for 6 months./

Swedish National Council for Cultural Affairs to start up a test-project – The museumnetwork as a co-operation project together with a number of county museums in Sweden. - Tomas Linell to join the group as a (software) developer&composer. – Splintermind is started to take care of the spin-off-art-project “nonTVTVstation” and the research projects (see also history at splintermind.com).

The Knowledge Foundation exhibits a number of successful projects, which they previously funded, among them Beeoff, at the Cultural Centre in Stockholm under the name ”Unholy alliances”. - Finalist in Stockholm Challenge. Taking part in the finalist exhibition at the Cultural Centre in Stockholm.

2002
Taking part in the art project, Follow Me, at Stockholm Art Fair: Department. - Beeoff is taking part in the exhibition, After Shopping at the Cultural Centre. - Taking part in a Gallery Exhibition, compilation tape : Sauna Gallery - Starting testtransmission from Kiasma, to explore future possibilities for a possible Art-Organism- now known as the project “tentacle”.

2003

April - July Beeoff is artist in residence at Eyebeam, in New York City. Beeoff is represented by Olle Huge. Open Studios at Eyebeam June 17-19 We presented progress on Tentacle, a series of physical sculptures in locations around the world connected to each other via real time audio/visual feeds. During the Open Studio we presented a model of the Tentacle installation with a video-stream from Sweden.
