In the Tentacle project Beeoff combines sculpture and advanced streaming
media. The Tentacle is a sculptural body cast in plastic. Inside there is
a projector, a camera and a microphone. It will register motions and
sounds in the surroundings. These will be real-time-streamed via
Internet to a studio in Stockholm, edited by a computer and sent
back to the Tentacle, as well as to the nonTVTVstation. Inside the
sculpture there will be a projection of the broadcast on the Tentacle
body.
Tentacles will during the autumn be placed at Villette
Numérique in
Paris, Kiasma in Helsinki
and in January at Eyebeam
in New York.
